Civil Engineer

Civil engineers design, plan, and oversee the construction and maintenance of building structures and
infrastructure, such as roads, railways, airports, bridges, harbors, dams, irrigation projects, power plants, and water
and sewage systems. They ensure that these projects are safe, efficient, and environmentally friendly.

Duties and Responsibilities:
• Develop project plans, including timelines, budget estimates, and resource allocation.
• Conduct feasibility studies and risk assessments to determine the viability of projects.
• Create detailed designs and drawings using CAD software.
• Develop specifications for materials, workmanship, and quality standards.
• Oversee construction sites and ensure work is completed on time and within budget.
• Monitor construction processes to ensure compliance with design specifications and safety standards.
• Address any issues or delays that arise during the construction process.
• Coordinate with management, architects, subcontractors, and other engineers.
• Inspect project sites to monitor progress and ensure conformance to design specifications and safety
standards.
• Prepare and present reports on project progress, costs, and future projections.
• Maintain accurate records of project details, contracts, and other documentation.
• Obtain necessary permits and ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
• Communicate with clients to understand their needs and provide updates on project progress.
• Engage with stakeholders, including local authorities and the public, to address concerns and provide
project information.

Qualification:
• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a license
• Proficiency with computer-aided design (CAD) software.
• Excellent organizational and time management skills.
