Job Description

Duties and Responsibilities:

1. Develop and implement construction strategies and plans that align with the company’s goals and objectives.
2. Provide visionary leadership to the construction division, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement
3. Participate in executive leadership meetings to provide insights and updates on construction activities.
4. Oversee the planning, execution, and completion of all construction projects, ensuring they are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
5. Ensure effective resource allocation and management across all projects.
6. Implement and monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) to track project performance.
7. Lead, mentor, and develop a team of construction managers, project managers, site supervisors, and other construction professionals.
8. Promote a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
9. Conduct performance reviews and provide professional development opportunities for team members.
10. Develop and manage the construction budget, including forecasting, cost control, and financial reporting.
11. Ensure financial objectives are met by analyzing variances and initiating corrective actions.
12. Approve project budgets and monitor expenditures
13. Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, contractors, and vendors.
14. Ensure client satisfaction by delivering high-quality projects and addressing any issues or concerns promptly.
15. Participate in contract negotiations and review contractual agreements.
16. Ensure compliance with all federal, state, and local building codes, safety regulations, and environmental standards.
17. Identify potential risks and develop mitigation strategies to minimize impact on project timelines and budgets.
18. Oversee the implementation of safety programs and initiatives to ensure a safe working environment.
19. Implement and monitor quality control processes to ensure all construction work meets or exceeds industry standards and client expectations.
20. Conduct regular site visits and inspections to assess project progress and quality.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

1. Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Architecture, or a related field. Advanced degree (MBA or MS) preferred.
2. Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in construction management, with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
3. Strong knowledge of construction processes, methods, and best practices.
4. Proven track record of managing large-scale construction projects successfully.
5. Excellent leadership, organizational, and project management skills.
6. Strong financial acumen and experience with budgeting and cost control.
7. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
8. Ability to build and maintain strong relationships with clients, stakeholders, and team members.
9. Proficiency in construction management software and tools.
