Job Description:

Lays out the text of manuscripts and other materials for publication.
Prints first, second penultimate and final set of page proofs.
Inputs editorial corrections on page proofs.
Converts the final book files into PDF or any other appropriate file format, for transmittal to printers.
Conceptualizes and develops, upon approval by the immediate superior, the overall design of books assigned to his/her team.
Keeps abreast with the latest trends, aesthetic standards and book design principles, and makes the necessary recommendations to his/her team supervisor or department head to improve the quality of C&E’s book designs.
Performs other related tasks that may assigned from time to time by his/her superiors, or top management.

Qualifications:

Holder of at least a degree in AB Fine Arts, Multimedia Arts or other related disciplines
Minimum of 2 years in publishing or related field/s
Able to conceptualize and design a range of book lay outs
Proficient in using desktop publishing software
Able to prioritize several projects at once, handle heavy workloads and meet tight deadlines
Ability to create animations using Adobe Flash or other similar animation software is an advantage

Work Schedule: Monday – Monday (8:00 AM – 6:00 PM) – Compressed Work Schedule so there is no Saturday Work Schedule
