Safety Officer

• Monitor and enforce compliance with occupational health and safety regulations, standards, and policies.
• Conduct regular inspections of the workplace to identify potential hazards and ensure adherence to safety protocols.
• Assess workplace hazards and risks through inspections, incident investigations, and safety audits.
• Develop and implement control measures to mitigate identified risks and prevent accidents or injuries.
• Coordinate and conduct safety training programs for employees on topics such as hazard awareness, emergency response, and proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
• Provide guidance and instruction to employees on safe work practices and procedures.
• Develop and maintain emergency response plans, including evacuation procedures, first aid protocols, and crisis management strategies.
• Conduct drills and simulations to test the effectiveness of emergency preparedness measures and ensure readiness for real-life scenarios.
• Maintain accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, and training activities.
• Prepare reports on safety performance, trends, and compliance for management review and regulatory reporting purposes.
• Promote a culture of safety awareness and accountability among the employees through communication, engagement, and recognition of safe behaviors.
• Collaborate with departmental managers and supervisors to address safety concerns and implement corrective actions as needed.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering with specialization in Safety Management, Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, or any other relevant course
Proven work experience in Safety Management, Emergency Planning, Risk Management
With relevant certification/s
With working knowledge on all relevant legislations including the Occupational Health and Safety Act, Human Rights Code, Workplace Safety and Insurance Act
Good verbal and written communication skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and other related software applications
Ability to communicate with all levels of the organization
Willing to work In Manila Bay, Pasay City
