UK Accountant (hybrid)

Drake’s top client – a BPO that serves Australian, UK and US accounting firms is hiring for a UK Accountant to be part of their collaborative team in Quezon City.

Summary:
As an Accountant, you will be responsible for handling financial transactions, preparing financial reports,
and maintaining accurate records. You will have the opportunity to work with a wide range of clients,
providing superior financial and accounting services.

Responsibilities:
• Prepare year-end accounts, ensuring adherence to UK FRS102 1A.
• Manage the entire client general ledger and perform reconciliations (PAYE / VAT / Hire Purchase, etc.).
• Make necessary adjustments to accounts to correct errors and discrepancies.
• Prepare corporation tax, personal tax, and VAT.
• Ensure compliance with UK accounting and tax regulations.
• Provide accounting services to all areas of the client's business as necessary.

Qualifications:

• With a Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any accounting related program.
• With 3 years of relevant work experience is required for this position.
• Experience working with a UK firm is ideal but not necessary.
• Experience in using Xero and Iris is highly preferred but not required.
• Should be organized and meticulous with a keen attention to detail, goal-driven, and results-oriented.
• With excellent English communication skills.
• Willing to work on a fixed UK shift, Monday to Friday, 3:30 PM to 11:30 PM MNL. (Working hours may be adjusted after the probationary period based on performance.)
• With stable internet connection for a work-from-home setup.
