Job Description
Duties and Responsibilities:
Recruitment:
• Developing and implementing recruitment strategies to attract top talent.
• Writing job descriptions and posting them on appropriate platforms.
• Screening resumes, conducting interviews, and selecting candidates.
• Coordinating with hiring managers to ensure a smooth recruitment process.
• Conducting background checks and verifying references.
• Negotiating job offers and managing the onboarding process for new hires.
Labor Law Compliance:
• Staying updated on local, state, and federal labor laws and regulations.
• Ensuring the organization's policies and practices are compliant with labor laws.
• Advising management and employees on employment law matters.
• Handling employee relations issues, such as disputes, grievances, and disciplinary actions, in accordance with legal requirements.
• Managing legal documentation related to employment contracts, terminations, and other HR matters.
• Collaborating with legal counsel when necessary to address complex legal issues.
Employee Engagement:
• Developing and implementing strategies to foster employee engagement and retention.
• Conducting surveys and gathering feedback to assess employee satisfaction and identify areas for improvement.
• Organizing events and initiatives to promote a positive work culture and team morale.
• Providing support and resources for employee training and development.
• Implementing recognition and reward programs to acknowledge employee contributions.
• Addressing concerns and conflicts to maintain a productive and harmonious work environment.
Criteria:
• Bachelor’s degree in human resources or related (essential).
• At least 1-2 years of experience as an HR.
• Exposure to Labor Law and employment equity regulations.
• Effective HR administration and people management skills.
• Exposure to engagement activities.
• Full understanding of HR functions and best practices.
• Works well under pressure and meets tight deadlines.
• Highly computer literate with capability in email, MS Office, and related business and communication tools.
• Fantastic organizational and time management skills
• Bachelor's (Preferred)
