RN Company Nurse

Key Responsibilities:
• Employee Health Services: The company nurse provides basic healthcare services to employees, including first aid for injuries and illnesses that occur in the workplace. They assess and treat minor injuries, administer medications, and provide referrals for more serious medical issues
• Health Education and Promotion: They conduct health screenings, wellness programs, and health education sessions to promote healthy lifestyle choices among employees. This can include topics like nutrition, exercise, stress management, and disease prevention.
• Occupational Health and Safety: Company nurses play a key role in ensuring that the workplace complies with health and safety regulations. They may conduct risk assessments, develop safety protocols, and provide training on workplace safety practices.
• Employee Assistance Programs (EAP): They may be involved in administering or providing referrals for EAP services, which can include counseling and support for employees dealing with personal or work-related issues.
• Health Record Management: Maintaining accurate health records for employees is essential. Company nurses are often responsible for managing these records, including documentation of injuries, treatments provided, and any accommodations or restrictions necessary for employees returning to work after illness or injury.
• Emergency Response: In the event of a medical emergency in the workplace, the company nurse is typically trained to provide immediate care until further medical help arrives. This can include CPR, first aid, and coordinating emergency services.
• Collaboration with Healthcare Providers: Company nurses often work closely with external healthcare providers, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and specialists, to ensure employees receive appropriate care and follow-up treatment when needed.
• Policy Development and Compliance: They may assist in developing company policies related to employee health and safety, ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

 
Qualifications:
• Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree
• Licensed Nurse
• 5 Years Work Experience
• Certifications related to occupational health nursing
• CPR and First Aid Certification
• Knowledge of Occupational Health and Safety Regulations
