IT Business Analyst

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Understand current and future processes, including processes for the entire enterprise.
2. Define and document business needs and requirements, and generate project business cases.
3. Participate in project and portfolio reviews to maintain project’s alignment with business cases.
4. Proactively recommend enhancements to existing business applications and IT processes.
5. Persuade internal and external stake holders of the new technology and strategies.
6. Work with the project team to develop a project plan, including facilitating processes for handling risks, issues, scope, quality, and general project communication.
7. Communicate with project team to delegate tasks, and provide regular status of project activities and milestones.
8. Track scope changes of each projects; gather data, analyze impact of changes and make recommendations to the project manager.
9. Maintain accurate records of committed, expended and forecast costs and monitor all organizational project costs to determine and verify the cost variance analysis on actual spending versus budget
10. Develop timely, accurate, in-depth analysis of project costs and schedules, provide corrective action and recommendations
11. Manage project issues and risks; and submit project risks analysis and impact to project manager
12. Communicate and collect updates from suppliers and analyze impacts to project schedule
13. Identify cost-savings opportunities through project completion ahead of schedule and proposed cost reductions
