Job Description

Developing detailed designs and plans for marine vessels, offshore structures, and related equipment. Using computer-aided design (CAD) software and simulation tools to analyze and optimize designs for performance, stability, and safety.
Ensuring the structural integrity of marine vessels and offshore platforms by conducting structural analysis, including finite element analysis (FEA), and evaluating the impact of external forces such as waves, wind, and currents.
Designing and optimizing propulsion systems, including engines, propellers, thrusters, and control systems, to achieve efficient and reliable performance while meeting regulatory requirements for emissions and fuel consumption.
Studying the behavior of ships and other marine structures in water, including resistance, stability, seakeeping, and maneuvering characteristics. Using computational fluid dynamics (CFD) and model testing to evaluate and improve hydrodynamic performance.
Selecting appropriate materials and construction methods for marine structures, taking into account factors such as corrosion resistance, fatigue, and structural strength. Overseeing the construction process to ensure compliance with design specifications and regulatory standards.
Ensuring that marine vessels and offshore structures comply with applicable safety regulations and classification society standards. Conducting risk assessments and safety analyses to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
