Job Summary:
We are looking for an objective Internal Auditor to add value and improve the beach resort operations by bringing a systematic and disciplined approach in providing risk management support and to optimize efficiency by identifying possible non-compliance or sources of waste and loss. He/She is primarily responsible for conducting internal finance audits with the aim of ensuring internal controls in finance operations of the resort spa.

Job Duties and Responsibilities:
Performing full audit cycle including risk management and control management over operations’ effectiveness, financial reliability and compliance with all applicable directives and regulations
Determining internal audit scope and developing annual plans
Obtaining, analyzing and evaluating accounting documentation, reports, data, files, flowcharts etc
Preparing and presenting reports that reflect audit’s results and document process
Identifying loopholes and recommend risk aversion measures and cost savings
Documenting process and prepare audit findings memorandum
Evaluating financial documents for accuracy and compliance with government regulations
Identifying financial risk of the organization and offer recommendations to reduce risk
Identifying accounting and financial record-keeping processes that can be improved
Determining ways to cut costs and improve profitability


Job Qualifications:
Candidate must possess a Bachelor's/College Degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, Finance, Banking or equivalent
Minimum of 1 year of experience in internal and/or external audit, preferably in the hospitality industry (e.g. resort, hotel, tourism, casinos, food and beverage)
Proven knowledge of auditing standards and procedures, laws, rules and regulations
Proficiency in accounting principles and financial analysis
Excellent attention to detail and excellent analytical skills
Sound independent judgment
Good critical-thinking skills to gather all of the available data and make informed decisions
Excellent research skills to find all related information needed
Ability to adapt to various accounting system applications
Willingness to travel regularly to Siargao Island to execute audit related work
