Senior Electrical Design Engineer

Responsibilities and Task

Calculation of load flow, short circuit and protection coordination
Sizing trays and ducts
Sizing of medium and low voltage equipment: transformers, emergency generator, UPS, capacitor bank, frequency inverters,, electric protection
Generation of lists of loads, equipment and cables.
Layout of electrical equipment and trays
Development of one-line and multi-line diagrams
Grounding system sizing
Calculation or simulation of electric arc according to IEEE Philippine Standard.
Knowledge in electrical substations will be valued
Design installation, operation and maintenance manuals for electrical systems and equipment.
Define materials, costs and estimated time, design specifications and installation methods for electrical elements, equipment and systems.
Supervise the installation and start-up of electrical networks, systems and equipment.
Define electrical scope in projects and analysis of proposals for construction, expansion of systems and equipment.
Evaluates electrical systems, products, components, and applications by designing and conducting research programs, applying knowledge of electricity and materials.
Develops manufacturing processes by designing and modifying equipment for building and assembling electrical components, soliciting observations from operators.
Experienced in the same industrial field has an advantage.
Assures product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished products and system capabilities.
Maintains product and company reputation by complying with federal and state regulations.
Keeps equipment operational by following manufacturer's instructions and established procedures, requesting repair service
Qualification:

Candidate must be Registered Electrical Engineer.
Professional Electrical Engineer is valued.
4+ years of provable experience in Electrical Engineering projects
(Valuable) Knowledge of main engineering calculation and design tools

Work Standards
Work experience in construction/project management is an advantage- Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit & other design software
Knowledgeable in Philippine Electrical Code (PEC) & Programmable Logic Control (PLC).-
Knowledgeable in Solar Design
Must be analytical & critical thinker
Pro-active, keen to details & trustworthy
Can work under extreme pressure
With good oral & written communication skills
Availability to travel within the country.
