Job Description

Provide technical leadership and guidance to the Oona Technical Team ensuring alignment with
business goals and objectives.
- Lead the design, development, implementation, and maintenance of IT systems and
infrastructure to meet organizational needs.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business requirements and translate them into
technical solutions.
- Manage the technical team, including hiring, training, and performance evaluation, to ensure a
high level of expertise and professionalism.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging technologies, and best practices to inform strategic
decision-making and innovation.
- Collaborate with other department heads and stakeholders to ensure alignment of IT initiatives
with organizational objectives.
- Execute IT strategies to support the goals and objectives of the group project.
- Lead a team of IT professionals responsible for project planning, implementation, and support.
- Oversee the design, development, and implementation of IT systems and applications to
support project activities.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure on-time and within-budget
delivery of IT solutions.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to procure IT services and products as
needed for the project.
- Monitor IT project risks and issues, and implement mitigation strategies to ensure project
success.
- Provide regular updates to project stakeholders on IT project status, milestones, and key
performance indicators.
- Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, policies, and standards governing IT project
management and security.
- Mentor and coach IT team members, fostering a culture of collaboration, innovation, and
continuous improvement.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.

-Foster collaboration and communication among cross-functional teams, including developers,
engineers, designers, and business stakeholders.
- Facilitate regular project meetings, status updates, and reviews to ensure alignment and
transparency.
- Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and adhere to relevant regulations and
industry best practices.
- Provide regular updates and reports to senior management and stakeholders on project
progress, issues, and risks.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance project delivery processes and outcomes.

Requirements:

- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- At least 10 years of proven experience as a Technical Manager / IT Leader or similar role, managing complex technical projects from initiation to closure.
- Experience with Insurance business is a must.
- Strong understanding of the technologies, tools, and methodologies relevant to the project. This could include software development frameworks, programming languages (databases (MSSQL/Oracle), networking.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to identify issues, propose solutions, and make data-driven decisions to keep projects on track.
- Proficiency in project management methodologies such as Agile, Scrum, Waterfall, or Kanban.
- Ability to create project plans, set timelines, allocate resources, and track progress effectively.
- Ability to lead and motivate cross-functional teams, fostering collaboration and ensuring everyone is aligned with project objectives.
- Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Strong leadership abilities with a track record of successfully leading cross-functional teams and driving project success.
- Ability to thrive in a very fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing project requirements and priorities.
- PMP, Scrum Master, or other relevant project management certifications are a plus.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or other project management methodologies is highly desirable.
- Proficiency in project management tools such as JIRA, Microsoft Project, or similar software
- Proficiency in identifying potential risks and developing strategies to mitigate them. This
includes risk assessment, contingency planning, and proactive risk management throughout the project lifecycle.
