Greg’s experience in the IT industry made him very aware of multi-national competitors who had access to offshore employees. In India, for example, the average wage is approximately $2,000 Australian per year ($1 per hour). Greg found that as a local business owner it was very difficult to compete with these larger entities when his average cost was approximately $19/hour. After selling his business Greg decided to pursue an endeavour that would close the accessibility gap that had previously prevented small and medium Australian businesses from effectively utilizing offshore workforce solutions. Job Description
We're on the lookout for exceptional Quantity Surveyors to join our team. Ideal candidates will possess:
A minimum of 3 years of experience as a Quantity Surveyor.
A tertiary qualification in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
Proficiency in compiling bills of quantities (BoQ’s) for both complex construction projects and simpler tasks like trade takeoffs.
Strong ability to interpret construction drawings and specifications across all disciplines, including architectural, structural, civil, hydraulic, mechanical, electrical, and landscaping.
Experience and a solid understanding of commercial and residential construction across various disciplines and methodologies.
Willingness to handle a range of tasks, from small administrative duties to complex bills of quantities for commercial projects of up to 10,000m2 GFA.
Thorough understanding of various trade disciplines.
Familiarity with contractual matters and the ability to review contract and construction documents is highly advantageous.
Proficiency in CostX and Bluebeam is preferred, with experience in Cubit being beneficial and a willingness to learn.
Excellent computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Suite.
Ability to learn Australian Standards and Codes of Practice.
Strong time management skills and the ability to prioritize effectively.
Eligibility for AIQS or RICS membership is desirable but not essential.
Fluency in spoken and written English, with the ability to communicate effectively via email.
