Job Description

The Site Quantity Surveyor is responsible for the processing of the billings to and claims against the Customer, the evaluation of the Subcontractor billings, and the monitoring of project costs against budget to ensure profitability of the project.

Duties and Responsibilities

- Review the purchase requests of the Operations Team against the Bill of Materials (BOM) and confirm reasonableness of estimates and computations to validate the correctness and necessity of the requests.
- Monitor the actual cost of the Project, such as materials and labor costs, against budget to determine the status of the project cash flow
- Analyze variations in the purchase requests against the BOM to determine claims against the Customer.
- Assist in the review of the completeness of details of the accomplishment reports from the Operations team to ensure accuracy of the billing to the Customer.
- Assist in the review of the Project Manager’s Instruction (PMI), Site Instruction (SI), Client’s Verbal Instruction (CVI), or other similar documentation, together with the relevant supporting documents, to identify claims with cost implication against the Customer or other trade contractor.
- Assist in the quantification of the identified claims and determination of the applicable or reasonable rates to arrive at the cost proposal.
- Assist in the reconciliation of accomplishment or claims with the Customer (or other trade contractor) to agree on billable quantities (and/or rates as applicable) that is fair and profitable to the Company.
- Prepare and collate relevant and required documentations to support the billings to the Customer or the claims.
- Monitor the release of the Certificate of Completion through the close coordination with the Customer and the concerned departments to support the final billing to the Customer.
- Monitor Customer billings and claims up to receipt of payment and resolve any technical concerns encountered to ensure timely collection of amounts due to the Company and prevent delays.
- Assist in the evaluation of subcontractor billings, review of the completeness of supporting documents, and reconciliation of quantity accomplishment to validate the claims of the subcontractor against the Company.
- Assist in the preparation of the Certificate of Payment to the Subcontractor and route to the concerned departments for verification of charges to confirm the accuracy of amount payable to the Subcontractor.
- Assist in the issuance of Certificate of Completion to the Subcontractor for scopes of work completed to facilitate the processing of the final billing.
- Prepare and update documentations, monitoring and reports related to customer billings, claims, subcontractor billings, budget vs cost, and purchase requisitions to provide relevant information to the team, the requestors and to the Management.
- Coordinate with the Customer, Subcontractor, Project Manager, Project In-charge, and Department Heads for the efficient resolution of concerns and efficient processing of billings and claims.
- Maintain a systematic and well-organized filing system for documentations related to Customer billings, claims and subcontractor billings to ensure completeness of records and to provide easy access to reference.
- Provide back-up relief for other team members and perform ad-hoc tasks that may be assigned from time to time to provide support to the department and the Company.

Qualification:

- Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Architecture
- Preferably Licensed but not required
- Required Skill(s): Surveyor, Estimate, Planswift
- At least 3 to 4 years of working experience in the related field is required for this position.
- With relevant experience in the Construction or Fit-out Industry.
- Willing to work overtime
- Willing to work on site
- Can start immediately
- Amenable to work in Quezon City
Salary:
29.000,00 ₱ Monthly
