Accounting Manager / Controller

The Accounting Manager/Controller will primarily be responsible for bookkeeping and managing financial transactions using QuickBooks Online. The ideal candidate will have previous experience working in a dealership environment, with a strong understanding of accounting for floor-planned assets and capitalizing rental boats as fixed assets. Additionally, should be proficient in depreciating assets and possess knowledge of dealership DMS systems. The role will also involve overseeing accounting processes related to boat and trailer sales.

Responsibilities:
- Perform bookkeeping duties using QuickBooks Online
- Manage financial transactions and records for multiple divisions
- Account for floor-planned assets and capitalize rental boats as fixed assets
- Depreciate assets by accounting standards
- Utilize dealership DMS for accounting purposes
- Oversee accounting processes related to boat and trailer sales
- Generate financial statements and reports as needed
- Ensure compliance with accounting principles and procedures
- Conduct month-end/year-end close process

Key Qualifications:
- Proven working experience in finance/accounting
- 5+ years of overall combined accounting and finance experience
- Advanced degree in Accounting preferred
- Thorough knowledge of accounting principles and procedures
- Experience with creating financial statements
- Experience with general ledger functions and month-end/year-end close process
- Excellent accounting software user and administration skills

Non-Negotiable Requirement: CPA or CMA certification
