Job Description
We are currently seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Home Health Coder to join our team. The Home Health Coder will be responsible for accurately assigning diagnostic and procedural codes to home health records in compliance with coding guidelines and regulations. This role is crucial in ensuring accurate reimbursement, proper documentation, and regulatory compliance for home health services.
Responsibilities:
Review home health documentation to accurately assign ICD-10-CM diagnosis codes, CPT procedure codes, and HCPCS Level II codes.
Ensure coding accuracy and completeness while adhering to coding guidelines, regulations, and industry standards.
Analyze medical records and encounter forms to abstract relevant information for coding purposes.
Collaborate with clinical staff and other healthcare professionals to clarify documentation and resolve coding-related queries.
Stay current with updates to coding guidelines, regulations, and industry trends to ensure compliance and accuracy in coding practices.
Perform quality assurance reviews to validate coding accuracy and identify areas for improvement.
