Security Specialist System Administrator

Responsibilities
• Assess & Implement various security controls across messaging services & apps, the latter hosted on-premise VMware, Openstack & other (cloud) infrastructure
• Represent messaging services with corporate security teams & rest of company
• Coach and work with messaging teams to ensure compliancy & progress
• Support & track security KPI’s in partnership with rest of messaging security team
• Build reference architecture, define guideline for development and integration team
• Create and deliver best practice recommendations, tutorials, sample code, and presentations adapted to technical teams
• Automate wherever applicable
• Participate as system integration engineer on other messaging projects not related to security if bandwidth permits
• Monitor vulnerabilities and implement solutions to mitigate them without causing service disruption
• Deal with internal and external partners, managing relationship and delivery plans
• Implement security measures adhering to Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) security guidelines
• Continuous monitoring and securing of the company's Red Hat infrastructure against potential threats or vulnerabilities
• Actively maintain and upgrade Red Hat systems, ensuring latest security patches are applied timely
• Develop and enforce Red Hat-specific best practices within the team and organization

Qualifications
• 7-10 years of experience with Linux system administration and deployment
• Knowledge of Linux on various distributions, specially RHEL
• Hands-on experience in security systems, including firewalls, intrusion detection systems, anti-virus software, authentication systems, log management
• Thorough understanding of the latest security principles, techniques, and protocols.
• TLS knowledge (HTTPS, PKI, encryption, etc.)
• Familiar with automation/orchestration tools such as Ansible and code management tools (GIT), GitLab.
• Good understanding of IT technologies (programming, cloud architecture, micro-services, automation) and practices (DevOps, TDD, CI/CD)
• IP network troubleshooting (Wireshark)
• Experience with Red Hat security modules like SELinux
• Red Hat Certified System Administrator (RHCSA) or Red Hat Certified Engineer (RHCE) would be highly appreciated
• Familiarity with Security Incident and Event Management (SIEM) tools
• Experience with vulnerability management tools and vulnerability assessment process
• Experience in conducting penetration testing, interpreting the results, and implementing changes to mitigate identified vulnerabilities
• Proven ability to identify threats, develop or recommend countermeasures, and perform advanced trend analysis
• Experience in creating and maintaining comprehensive documentation related to IT infrastructure, security tools, and best practices
• An understanding of risk assessment methods and technologies

• Experience in Cloud Technologies in Public cloud and on-site (Google, AWS, Redhat, OpenShift)
• Relevant cybersecurity certifications such as CISSP, CISM, CEH, CompTIA Security+)
• A minimum knowledge of computer languages such as python, java, etc.
