Education and Child Protection Staff
Tingloy, Batangas
Salary Range: Php19,000.00 – Php22,000.00

POSITION SUMMARY
Education Staff will be responsible in facilitating community planning, conduct of community meetings, conceptualizing project plans/proposals, handle and organize children and youth groups, among others.

Essential Responsibilities:
• Facilitate the implementation of all the activities under the scholarship and youth development programs in the CDP.
• Facilitate the implementation of Child Protection and Advocacy activities in the CDP.
• Facilitate community planning and identification of resources in coordination with LGUs, NGOs, community-based organizations and other partners mandated bodies related to the assigned sector.
• Conduct community meeting with the community leaders, sponsored families, other community members and other groups to determine needs of children, families and weaknesses of the community.
• Handles and organizes CRC and advocacy related activities within the school.
• Handles organizes children and youth groups and advocacy related activities within the schools and communities.
• Gathers baseline data and keeps important data related to the Education, Child Protection and Advocacy sector.
• Ensure the consistent and active participation of the children and youth in the programs and activities.
• Conceptualize and prepare draft projects plan/ proposal including Memorandum of Agreement and other pertinent documents as attachments.
• Facilitate timely implementation of activities based on plans.
• Assure that the timely, efficient and effective execution of the allotted budget.
• Conduct regular home visits to the scholars and other children and youth participants of the education programs and services.
• Monitor and evaluate projects implemented related to the sector assigned based on the project plan.
• Establish, coordinate, and maintain good partnership with DepEd, schools, Local Council for the Protection of Children (LCPC) at the Municipal, Barangay and School level; with Local School Board, MSWDO and other offices at the Local Government Unit; and other possible stakeholders/partner under the Education, Child Protection, and Advocacy sector within the Field Areas.
• Expand partnerships and networks in the implementation of the education programs and services, especially for scholarship and youth development programs.
• Coordinate with Community Sponsorship Facilitators and other volunteers in the preparation activities.
• Prepare and submit status/monitoring reports and report updates on the project implementation.
• Conduct canvass, procurement and other administrative roles required by the project or activities implementations.
• Prepare a home visitation plan together with co-Project Staff within the Community Development
• Project for proper coordination and schedule.

Qualifications:
• At least with Bachelor’s Degree in Community Development, Social Work, Education and other related courses;
• Minimum 3 years of relevant work experience with NGO’s or INGO’s or GO in community development/organizing and education sector;
• Familiar with education issues and education system in the Philippines e.g. K to 12, ALS, TESDA and so forth;
• Demonstrated good facilitation and community organizing skills, presentation, and communication;
• Basic computer knowledge and use of Microsoft Office applications e.g. Word, Excel, PPT;
• Good language and writing skills;
• Ability to think critically and work independently; and
• Sensitive and adaptive towards culture, gender, religion, race, nationality, and age.
