Safety Officer

Responsibilities:
Investigate accidents
Conduct regular workplace inspections
Implement OSH program in all Tesco offices
Rectify all unsafe workplace conditions
Coordinate assistance from the management to the injured worker in case of hospitalization and injury from accidents.
Inspects worksites to ensure hazard-free environment
Conducts toolbox meetings to ensure all tools and equipment are adequate and safe to use
Conducts investigations of all accidents and near-misses.
Promotes safety practices and enforces safety guidelines at the job site.
Performs emergency response drills.
Receives reports from and responds to orders issued by Department of Labor inspectors.
Prepares monthly and annual OSH and WAIR reports.
Qualifications:

MUST HAVE at least 2 years of proven experience as a Safety Officer
In-depth knowledge of OSH policies and procedure
Can implement the OSH program in all our regional offices
Knowledge of potentially hazardous materials or practices
Must have a mandatory forty (40) - hour basic OSH (BOSH) training course applicable to the industry;
Proficient in MS Office;
Outstanding organizational and negotiation skills to close cases of accidents and hospitalization.
Diligent with great attention to detail
Excellent written and oral communication skills with the ability to present OSH orientation and create comprehensive incident reports.
Preferably with a First Aid Certificate
Salary Range: 15k plus allowances (Total Net Monthly Fee is P18k)
