General Position Definition

In charge of the over-all financial accounting records and ensures that all transactions are correctly posted and have the necessary supporting documentation.

Ensures tax and other regulatory compliances.

Assist in the financial planning and analysis of investments portfolio

Accountabilities

Maintains the company’s General Ledger and ensures that all transactions are correctly posted and have the necessary supporting documentation.

Ensures timely tax and other regulatory remittances and reports including VAT, Withholding Taxes, Income Tax, and other statutory returns (SSS, PHIC, HDMF).

Spearhead the financial statement audit and tax audit by preparing account schedules and reconciliations, vouching and collating supporting documents or reports.

Prepares regular and ad hoc accounting reports as required by the business and support the Finance Manager.

Assist in the analysis of financial feasibility studies and economic assumptions for investments portfolio. Participates in the preparation and monitoring of the company’s budget.

Assist in maintaining electronic and manual archives of finance-related files by entering, verifying, and backing up data.

Assist in the continuous improvement of financial accounting and reporting procedures.

Requirements



Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Management Accounting, or its equivalent.

Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA)

Proficient in MS Office applications, SAP or other accounting system • At least 3 years’ experience in general accounting

A self-starter who is efficient and accountable in carrying out duties • Has a problem-solving mindset and has good attention to detail and organization skills.

Teachable and has an attitude for proactive learning.
