Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are looking for a competitive operations manager who is responsible for overseeing all practices established to monitor and manage the many processes occurring to drive the services produced, spanning financing, staffing, policy, and facilities. These practices can range from quality assurance, care coordination, staff certification and licensing, credentialing, overseeing health insurance and related claims risks, organizing medical review, legal, auditing, and compliance programs.

Overall, operations management in healthcare requires overseeing the day-to-day practices of the hospital that influence the patient’s experience while also taking on higher-level strategic operations.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

• Adhering to the operating budget, financial goals, and objectives with economic and efficient performance
• Establishing policies and procedures that support high-quality healthcare service, in partnership with hospital management, medical teams and the surrounding community
• Managing a team of healthcare professionals
• Developing strategies to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness of healthcare facilities
• Evaluating staff performance and identifying areas of improvement or concern
• Providing leadership to the healthcare operations team, including nurses,
• Influencing strategic decisions related to hospital functions
• Resolving operational issues and analyzes workflow
• Ensuring that all regulatory standards are met regarding patient care, safety standards, infection control, etc.
• Reviewing operational budgets and recommending changes to management
• Monitoring the performance of facilities and evaluating their compliance with industry standards
• Overseeing the hiring and training of new staff members and ensuring their performance is compliant with company policies

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Healthcare Administration, Health Management of related field.
• At least 3 years of proven work experience as hospital operations manager, or similar role
• Solid understanding of healthcare procedures and regulations
• Excellent and effective communication skills
• Great organizational and time management skills
• Ability to supervise and train team members
• Has a problem-solving attitude and outstanding critical thinking skills
