Job Description

JOB MISSION/PURPOSE:
To be the frontliner in the development and growth of PTCAT’s Trading Business ideal of Move, Store
& Trade by engaging in local and international trades of;
a. Products that will increase the PTCAT logistics volumes exponentially
b. Products that are falling in the PTC OSM (owner supplied materials) Missions
c. Products that are community and environment relevant and timely
d. Products that are allied to PTCAT Industry alignment (supply chain, logistics,
transportation & maritime)
To trade products to B2B, B2C, and government organizations in both in the domestic and
Asian region markets while complementing the logistics business of PTCAT.
To maintain good professional business relationships with existing clients, gaining repeat
business wherever possible as well as approaching potential customers with the aim of
winning new business
To follow PTCAT’s methodologies and comply with the processes and policies in attaining
PTCAT’s trading business goals

III. GENERAL JOB DESCRIPTION/KEY RESULT AREAS:
The Trading Associate’s job is described as follows;
1. The continuous solicitation of completely detailed and qualified leads that are ideal to
develop products, customers and suppliers that will constitute 25% of the job.
2. The regular setting of agenda and face to face appointments with customers and suppliers
and aid in the drafting and drawing of presentation materials and closing of deals with
customers and suppliers that is 30% of the job.
3. The documentation and management of accounts of both customers and suppliers which
constitute 30% of the job
4. The submission of detailed monthly reports and presentations needed for trading progress
monitoring that is 15% of the job.
IV. DETAILED TASK LIST:
1. Leads Generation and Product Development tasks
a. Provincial and Regional probing for customer demand
b. Research and telemarketing
c. Attendance to trade fairs, expos, and conventions
d. Attendance to industry clubs and associate events and functions
e. Product development
i. Collection of product samples
ii. Product testing
2. Customer and Supplier Interface tasks
a. Draft and draw appointment agenda
b. Appointment setting and attendance
c. Prepare presentation materials (PPT aided and others)
d. Gather feedback from customers or prospects and share with internal teams
e. Draft selling propositions (new, refreshed and revision)
f. Participate in negotiating commercial terms with customers and suppliers with
guidance of Trading Manager and Senior Trading Associate

g. Participate in the on-boarding of new customers and suppliers into the PTCAT on-
boarding system

3. Customer and Supplier Account Management
a. Assist in the documentation and collection of accounts receivables from customers
and report collection red flagsto the Trading Manager and Senior Trading Associate
b. Handle customer complaints and objections
c. Assist in the documentation and payment processing of accounts payables to
suppliers
d. Delivery and compliance monitoring of suppliers and reporting of red flags to the
Trading Manager and Senior Trading Associate

4. Report Preparation tasks
a. Monthly planned itinerary
b. Cost Sheet per project
c. Delivery Progress report per project
d. Call reports
e. Forward action report per project
f. Project business report

g. Personal production report

V. DIMENSIONS:
FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITY
• Ensure to maximize productivity of travel plans
• Prudent spending of set budget for travel, accommodations, and representation
• Submission of memo billings on schedule for timely transmittal to customers
• Coordinating with suppliers on correct and complete submission of documentary
requirements for payment processing
• Ensure items are delivered on time and in full to customers

VI. QUALIFICATIONS, SKILLS and ATTRIBUTES:
EDUCATION:
• At least a graduate of a relevant bachelor course
EXPERIENCE:
• Experience in the service industry
• Experience in process management is an advantage
• Experience in purchasing is an advantage
KNOWLEDGE and SKILLS:
• Can communicate effectively in written and spoken English and Tagalog
• Can perform effectively the basic computer functions of Word, PowerPoint and Excel
• Strong organizational and negotiation skills
• Must be a good and articulate communicator internally and externally
• Having social media skills and affinity is an advantage
• Having driving skill and license is an advantage

PERSONAL CHARACTERISTICS
• Must be confident in face to face foreign and or overseas engagements
• Can handle the daily commute/travel in the city and some provincial outings
• Good physical and psychological conditioning is must
• Trustworthy and observes moral standards at all times

Salary:
25.000,00 ₱ Monthly
