Job Description: Transformer Rewinder
Department: Production
Job Summary:
Implement scope of work, repair, rewinding, develop and maintain transformer
and/or components to required specifications, focusing on economy, safety,
reliability, on time and quality.
Essential Functions:
➢ Data gathering like number of turns, measurements of winding and core
➢ Repair, rebuild, rewind small and medium-sized distribution transformers
➢ Operate of wire-coiling machines to wind wire coils used in transformers,
and in electrical equipment.
➢ Select and load materials such as workpieces, objects, and machine parts
into equipment used in coiling processes.
➢ Perform miscellaneous operations such as dismantle and clean parts.
➢ Stack iron core, assemble coils and connect as per as found data
➢ Assemble in tanks and connect bushings.
➢ Fabricate and or install new gaskets
➢ Assist technician during initial and final electrical test
➢ Assist technicians in filter/degas of transformer oil
➢ Drain and refilling of transformer oil
➢ Record winding data to log book for reference
➢ Paint the unit base on original color or as per customer.
➢ Help others with more complicated jobs
➢ Perform other related duties as assigned

Qualification
College/high school graduate
With experience in rewinding of transformer not less than 2 years
