Job Description
Brings urine, stool, sputum and other specimen to the Institute of Pathology; ensuring these are delivered on time with correct labelling and patient’s name.
Acquires and replenishes supplies from Pharmacy Services and Central Sterile Supply based on approved request and proof list.
Brings documents e.g. request issuance slip (RIS), purchase requisition (PR), to and from other division within the hospital premises.
Obtains patient’s documents (ARMI) from Medical Records Section as ordered/requested.
Reports to health care team any observation or usual condition of patients being transported.
Replenishes drinking water and ice cubes of the assigned units per shift.
In exigency situations, the Porter performs additional tasks as may be required by the unit with close supervision by his/her superior.
Provides great patient experience.
Adheres to IPSG according to scope of practice.
Other duties which may be assigned to him/her.
Job Qualifications:
Must have NC II Certificate in Caregiving, Healthcare Services, Physical Therapy or related training courses
With or without working experience
Knowledgeable in Hospital Set up is an advantage
Preferably MALE candidates
