Role: Remote Electrical Engineer Estimator

Location: Remote based in the Philippines

About the Role
Our client is one of Australia’s top commercial electrical companies, and we’re looking for a Remote Electrical Engineer Estimator to join our growing team through Staff Pilot.
This is a full-time, long-term remote position based in the Philippines, working directly with our Australian project managers and engineers.
You’ll be responsible for handling the estimating process for commercial electrical projects, from take-offs to tender preparation, using industry-leading software like Groundplan and Simpro.
Key Responsibilities
Perform accurate electrical take-offs using Groundplan (counting light fittings, power points, etc.).
Input data into Simpro estimating software and apply pre-built costings.
Support the design & construct process, assisting with drafting layouts and scope of works.
Assist project managers with project administration tasks (O&M manuals, as-built drawings, documentation).
Collaborate with Australian engineers on large-scale commercial projects.
Maintain high levels of accuracy and attention to detail across all estimates.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering (or equivalent technical background).
Experience in estimating, drafting, or quantity surveying (electrical preferred).
Strong knowledge of electrical systems, drawings, and construction documentation.
Proficiency with estimating software (Groundplan, Simpro, BlueBeam).
Competence with technical drawings and construction take-offs.
High attention to detail, accuracy, and strong analytical skills.
Excellent English communication skills (written & spoken).
Tech Requirements
Reliable computer (modern specs).
Fast internet connection with backup power & backup internet.
Ability to work 40 hours per week (aligned with Australian time zones).
