Summary:
ALPS Technologies Inc. is seeking a talented Software Developer to design, develop, and maintain robust APIs. As a software developer, you will play a crucial role in ensuring seamless integration between our service desk and an external system.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Monitor API usage to identify trends and anticipate customer needs
Participate in code reviews and contribute to improving overall code quality.
Analyze current programs including performance, diagnosis and troubleshooting, and design solutions to problematic programming.
Create and maintain API client libraries to provide an easy-to-use interface for third-party developers
Develop and maintain unit and integration tests to ensure API quality and reliability.
Work effectively with cross-functional teams to deliver APIs that meet business needs.
Prepare reports on programming project specifications, activities, or status.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand customer needs and develop solutions that meet those needs
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in computer science or other related courses
Willing to work full onsite
1-2 years of experience in API development and integration
Expert knowledge of technologies such as RESTful APIs, JSON, XML, OAuth2, HTTP, SSL/TLS, Webhooks, and API authentication
Familiarity with web development (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.)
Knowledge of web services technologies including SOAP, WSDL, and UDDI
Experience with middleware applications, preferably Boomi
Proficiency in programming languages (e.g., C#, Python, Java, etc.) and Database Technologies (e.g., MSSQL, MySQL, etc. ) commonly used for API development
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills
Strong attention to details
Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
