Bachelor’s Degree in:
Electrical Engineering
Renewable Energy Engineering
Mechanical Engineering (with relevant experience)
Solar PV system design (residential, commercial, or utility-scale)
Electrical load calculations and system sizing
Wiring diagrams, single-line diagrams (SLDs), and layout drawings
Knowledge of standards (PHIL: PEC, IEC, NEC, UL, etc.)
Understanding of electrical systems: AC/DC systems, grounding, inverters, breakers
AutoCAD – for layout and electrical drawings
PVsyst / Helioscope – for performance simulations and shading analysis
SketchUp / SolarDesignTool – for 3D modeling and layouts
Microsoft Excel – for calculations and costing
ETAP or similar – for electrical analysis (optional but ideal)
