Accounting Manager and Controller

Responsibilities:

- Oversee all aspects of accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable/Sales Audit, Payroll, Fixed Asset Accounting, and Tax.
- Develop, implement, and enforce best-practice accounting policies, procedures, and rigorous internal controls to ensure data integrity and mitigate risk.
- Lead the timely and accurate preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in compliance with Philippine Financial Reporting Standards (PFRS).
- Manage efficient month-end and year-end closing processes, significantly improving reporting timeliness.
- Spearhead the seamless transition from outsourced accounting services to a fully functional and efficient in-house accounting team.
- Establish and manage robust billing and collection processes, particularly for intercompany charges to our stores and joint ventures, ensuring timely recovery of receivables.
- Develop and maintain accurate cost accounting systems for our commissary and retail store operations.
- Ensure full compliance with all BIR regulations, including accurate and timely tax filings and reporting.
- Partner with the CFO and other department heads to support strategic decision-making with accurate financial insights and reports.
- Drive the continuous improvement of accounting systems and processes, leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and accuracy.
- Champion a culture of accuracy, accountability, and operational excellence within the accounting department.

Qualifications:

- Must be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA).
- Minimum 7-10 years of progressive accounting experience, with at least 3-5 years in a senior accounting leadership role
- Proven track record of successfully managing accounting operations, preferably in the F&B, retail, or multi-outlet consumer goods industry.
- Strong, hands-on experience in establishing and improving accounting systems, processes, and internal controls.
- Demonstrated ability to build, lead, and mentor an accounting team.
- In-depth knowledge of PFRS, Philippine tax laws, and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills with impeccable attention to detail.
- Ability to thrive under pressure in a fast-paced, high-growth, and entrepreneurial environment.
- Proficient in modern accounting software/ERP systems and MS Office Suite.
