Job Description
Supervision and Coordination:
Assisting the supervisor in overseeing the daily activities of the laboratory, including staff scheduling, task delegation, and ensuring efficient workflow.
Training and Mentorship:
Participating in the training and orientation of new employees, interns, and other medical personnel.
Quality Control:
Performing and overseeing quality control procedures, ensuring the accuracy and reliability of laboratory tests and results.
Technical Expertise:
Demonstrating proficiency in a range of laboratory techniques and procedures, and providing guidance on complex testing.
Compliance:
Ensuring adherence to all relevant laboratory policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements, such as those from CLIA, CAP, or other accrediting bodies.
Problem Solving:
Identifying and resolving technical or operational issues that may arise in the laboratory.
Communication:
Effectively communicating with staff, other departments, and external stakeholders.
Record Keeping:
Maintaining accurate and complete records of laboratory activities, quality control data, and other relevant information.
