Job Description
Key Responsibilities:
VMware Configuration & Infrastructure Management
Configure and manage VMware vSphere, vCenter, NSX, SRM, vSAN, HCX, NSX-T, vROps, vRLI, and SDDC environments.
Design and implement scalable, secure VMware infrastructure solutions on GCVE.
Develop and maintain VMware runbooks and SOPs for GCVE operations.
Migration & Implementation
Execute VMware-based mass migrations, preferably from on-premises to GCP or AWS using HCX, vMotion, and NSX technologies.
Assist in the configuration and performance optimization of migrated VMs and cloud-based environments.
Project & Client Engagement
Collaborate with stakeholders to gather requirements and prepare technical design documents.
Support migration planning, timelines, and delivery milestones.
Monitoring & Troubleshooting
Perform regular system health checks, capacity planning, and performance tuning.
Investigate and resolve complex production incidents across VMware infrastructure and hybrid environments.
Knowledge Transfer & Documentation
Create and maintain detailed technical documentation, including configuration guides and migration plans.
Conduct knowledge-sharing sessions with client teams and internal stakeholders.
