Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Sampling Team Leader to oversee and coordinate field sampling activities for water and ambient air projects. The ideal candidate will ensure compliance with regulatory standards, manage a team of samplers, and maintain high-quality sampling protocols.
Key Responsibilities:
• Plan, organize, and supervise field sampling activities for water (surface, groundwater, wastewater) and ambient air.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory guidelines for sample collection, preservation, and documentation.
• Train, mentor, and lead a team of field samplers, ensuring adherence to safety and quality procedures.
• Coordinate with clients, project managers, and laboratory staff to meet sampling schedules and project requirements.
• Maintain and calibrate sampling equipment, ensuring proper functionality and accuracy.
• Prepare and review sampling reports, chain of custody (COC) forms, and field notes.
• Troubleshoot field issues and implement corrective actions as needed.
• Conduct risk assessments and enforce health & safety protocols during fieldwork.
Qualifications & Skills:
• Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Chemistry, Engineering, or a related field.
• Preferably with minimum 1-2 years in environmental sampling (water/air) but newly graduate are also encouraged to apply.
• Proficiency in using sampling equipment (e.g., air pumps, flow meters, water samplers) and GPS/GIS tools.
• Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities.
• Ability to work outdoors and travel to field sites as needed.
