Job Description

JOB DESCRIPTION:

The Service Technician / Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, repairing, and ensuring the safe and efficient operation of company vehicles especially company trucks. This role includes diagnosing mechanical issues, performing preventive maintenance, and ensuring all repairs meet safety and operational standards.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Inspect, diagnose, and repair mechanical issues in vehicles to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
2. Inspect, diagnose, and repair electrical issues in vehicles to minimize downtime and maintain operational efficiency.
3. Perform scheduled maintenance and servicing of vehicles to prevent breakdowns and extend equipment lifespan.
4. Use diagnostic tools and technical manuals to identify issues and determine appropriate repair methods.
5. Remove and replace faulty parts such as bearings, belts, hoses, and engines, ensuring proper fit and function.
6. Maintain accurate maintenance records, including work performed, parts used, and time spent. Report major repairs or required replacements to supervisors.
7. Ensure all repairs and maintenance activities comply with safety and environmental regulations. Use appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
8. Maintain tools and equipment in good working condition and ensure proper storage after use.
9. Coordinate with other departments or team members to schedule repairs and minimize disruption to operations.
10. Conduct post-repair testing to ensure equipment functions correctly and safely.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High school diploma or equivalent; vocational or technical training in automotive or mechanical repair is preferred
Proven experience as a mechanic (automotive, industrial, or heavy equipment)
Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems
Ability to use diagnostic equipment and read technical manuals
Good physical condition and manual dexterity
Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting
At least 2-3 years experience as a Mechanic
With valid driver's license

Salary Range: Php 18,000 - Php 24,000
