Job Description

Qualifications:
Required Skills and Experience
 3–5+ years of hands-on experience in PACS/RIS implementation and support
 Strong command of DICOM protocols and services (C-FIND, C-STORE, MWL, etc.)
 Practical knowledge of HL7 v2.x messaging and interface configuration
 Proven integration experience with HIS, EMR, and imaging modalities
 Solid grasp of networking, server environments (Windows/Linux), and basic SQL
 Familiarity with HIPAA or local equivalents (e.g., DOH/DICT privacy regulations)
 Strong problem-solving and diagnostic skills
 Excellent communication skills for technical and non-technical stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
 Experience working with PACS/RIS vendors such as Novarad, EBM, Infinitt, GE, Carestream, etc.
 Certifications in CIIP, DICOM, IHE, or CompTIA Network+/Security+
 Experience with large-scale hospital or radiology center deployments
 Training delivery experience and technical documentation skills
 Comfortable interfacing with foreign principals and clinical stakeholders

Key Responsibilities:
1. Pre-Installation Planning & Coordination
Lead early-stage planning of PACS/RIS deployments in collaboration with sales and clinical teams to ensure all
technical requirements are addressed before go-live.
 Conduct client site assessments and document system/network requirements
 Align implementation plans with radiology workflows and hospital infrastructure
 Coordinate with internal teams to ensure smooth project handover and deployment readiness
2. PACS/RIS System Implementation
Oversee hands-on installation, configuration, and deployment of PACS/RIS platforms, ensuring optimized clinical
performance and interoperability.
 Deploy systems including servers, workstations, and databases
 Integrate PACS/RIS with HIS, EMR, and imaging modalities
 Conduct acceptance testing and manage go-live operations
3. Systems Integration & Standards Compliance
Ensure seamless data exchange using industry standards while maintaining strict compliance with regulatory
frameworks.
 Configure and troubleshoot HL7 interfaces and DICOM services (MWL, MPPS, etc.)
 Address data mapping, RIS-PACS synchronization, and modality connectivity issues
 Ensure compliance with HIPAA, DOH, and other applicable privacy/security standards
4. Technical Support (Level 1 & 2)
Act as the first line of support for client issues, providing timely resolution and coordination with Level 3/vendor
support when needed.
 Investigate system errors, performance issues, and connectivity problems
 Resolve software and hardware-related service requests within SLAs
 Maintain detailed service records and escalation logs
5. System Maintenance & Monitoring
Proactively maintain system health and performance to ensure optimal uptime and user experience.
 Monitor logs, network traffic, and server health metrics
 Perform routine updates, backups, and system optimizations
 Identify patterns in recurring issues and propose long-term solutions
6. Client Training & Documentation
Drive successful end-user adoption through structured training and clear documentation.
 Conduct hands-on training for radiologists, technologists, and admin staff
 Develop and maintain SOPs, quick-reference guides, and technical manuals
 Customize settings to fit specific client workflows and improve usability
7. Internal IT Support (Medical Imaging Division)
Support the division’s in-house PACS/RIS demo and support environments.
 Maintain internal demo environments for training and sales use
 Provide ad hoc support for internal IT needs tied to imaging platforms
 Assist in technical showcases during pre-sales engagements
8. Continuous Learning & Industry Awareness
Stay ahead of emerging trends in medical IT and contribute insights back into the organization.
 Participate in training and vendor certification programs
 Monitor developments in AI-enhanced imaging, cloud PACS, and cybersecurity
