Billing and Collection Head

Duties and Responsibilities

Billing Duties:
Prepare and issue invoices to customers accurately and on time.

Verify billing data such as contract terms, pricing, and services rendered.

Maintain billing records and ensure proper documentation for all invoices.

Coordinate with departments (sales, operations, customer service) to resolve billing discrepancies.

Monitor recurring billing schedules and ensure timely renewals or adjustments.

Ensure compliance with relevant tax regulations and company policies.

Generate billing reports for management and finance team.

Collection Duties:
Monitor accounts receivable and track overdue accounts.

Follow up with customers via phone, email, or mail regarding outstanding payments.

Negotiate payment arrangements or settlements when necessary.

Maintain accurate records of collection activities and communications.

Escalate delinquent accounts to legal or collection agencies when appropriate.

Assess creditworthiness of new and existing clients as part of risk management.

Prepare aging reports and other receivables analyses for internal review.

General Responsibilities:
Maintain confidentiality of financial data and client information.

Ensure accuracy and integrity of billing and collection records.

Assist with audits and provide documentation as needed.

Improve collection processes and propose efficiency enhancements.

Respond promptly to billing and payment inquiries from clients or internal stakeholders.
