Job Description

Position Overview:
Grand Sierra Pines Hotel is looking for a reliable and detail-oriented Income Auditor to join our team. The Income Auditor will be responsible for handling overnight guest services, performing daily accounting and financial reconciliation tasks, and ensuring the smooth operation of the hotel during night shifts.

Qualifications:

A Bachelor degree in Accounting, Hospitality, or a related field is a plus.
At least 1 year of experience in hotel front desk operations or accounting, preferably as a Night Auditor or in a similar role.
Knowledge of basic accounting principles and procedures.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Proficient in using hotel management systems (e.g., Opera, Protel) and Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word).
Ability to work independently and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
Must be willing to work the night shift (including weekends and holidays).
Duties and Responsibilities:

Perform nightly accounting functions, including posting room charges, guest payments, and processing any adjustments or refunds.
Reconcile daily revenue and ensure all transactions are accurate and complete.
Prepare and generate financial reports, including end-of-day reports for management.
Assist guests with check-ins and check-outs during overnight shifts.
Handle guest inquiries, complaints, and requests promptly and professionally.
Ensure all hotel operations, including security and cleanliness, are in order during the night shift.
Monitor hotel systems and address any issues that may arise overnight (e.g., room availability, reservations).
Secure cash and valuable items in the hotel safe, following hotel procedures.
Perform audits of the hotel’s revenue and ensure all charges are posted correctly.
Coordinate with the day shift to ensure a smooth handover of guest services and financial reports.
Assist in other administrative tasks as assigned by the Front Desk Supervisor or Management.
