Job Description

Job Summary:

The Microsoft 365 and Intune Expert will be responsible for managing, configuring, and optimizing Microsoft 365 services, as well as Microsoft Intune for mobile device management (MDM) and application management (MAM). This role is key in ensuring that our organization leverages the full capabilities of Microsoft 365, maintaining a secure and efficient environment. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of Microsoft 365, Microsoft Intune, and the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues related to the platform.

Key Responsibilities:

Microsoft 365 Administration:
Administer and support Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, Teams, and other Microsoft 365 apps.
Perform user management tasks including provisioning, licensing, and permissions within Microsoft 365.
Manage and configure security and compliance policies across Microsoft 365 services to ensure data integrity and security.
Troubleshoot and resolve issues related to Microsoft 365 applications, and ensure optimal performance.
Ensure system integration between Microsoft 365 services and other applications.
Microsoft Intune Administration:
Configure, deploy, and manage Microsoft Intune for Mobile Device Management (MDM) and Mobile Application Management (MAM).
Administer device and application policies, security protocols, and compliance configurations through Microsoft Intune.
Monitor the health and performance of mobile devices and apps, ensuring they comply with corporate policies.
Implement security measures for mobile devices, including encryption, VPN, and app management.
Work with users and teams to resolve issues related to device compliance, app deployment, and security configurations.
Security and Compliance:
Manage and maintain security configurations and policies in Microsoft 365, including MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), Conditional Access, and Identity Protection.
Implement and manage security best practices for data loss prevention (DLP), auditing, retention policies, and eDiscovery within Microsoft 365.
Support IT teams with managing compliance policies, industry regulations, and security audits.
Collaboration and Support:
Provide expert-level support for Microsoft 365 and Intune-related issues, serving as the primary contact for troubleshooting and resolution.
Collaborate with other IT team members and departments to integrate Microsoft 365 and Intune with other enterprise systems.
Provide training and support to end-users on Microsoft 365 applications and mobile device management.
Create and maintain documentation for all Microsoft 365 and Intune processes, configurations, and policies.
Monitoring and Reporting:
Monitor the health and usage of Microsoft 365 services, identifying areas for improvement.
Generate reports on device compliance, user activity, and service performance.
Recommend and implement improvements to enhance the performance, security, and scalability of Microsoft 365 and Intune services.
Continuous Improvement:
Stay up-to-date with new features and updates for Microsoft 365 and Intune, including changes in security and management protocols.
Evaluate and implement best practices for Microsoft 365 and Intune based on current trends and evolving business needs.
Participate in technical workshops, webinars, and other professional development opportunities to continuously enhance knowledge.
Qualifications and Requirements:

Experience:
Proven experience of 3+ years managing and administering Microsoft 365 and Intune in an enterprise environment.
Experience in troubleshooting and providing support for Microsoft 365 applications (e.g., Exchange, SharePoint, Teams, OneDrive).
Hands-on experience with Microsoft Intune for device and application management.
Certifications:
Microsoft Certified: Enterprise Administrator Expert or similar certification (preferred).
Microsoft Certified: Security, Compliance, and Identity Fundamentals (optional but preferred).
Microsoft Certified: Modern Desktop Administrator Associate (optional but preferred).
Skills & Competencies:
Strong knowledge of Microsoft 365 services, including Exchange Online, SharePoint, OneDrive, and Teams.
Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Intune, MDM, and MAM configurations and management.
Familiarity with security protocols such as MFA, Conditional Access, and encryption for mobile devices.
Ability to configure and deploy security policies, device compliance, and app management in Intune.
Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with PowerShell for Microsoft 365 and Intune automation.
Excellent communication and documentation skills to ensure clarity in processes and resolutions.
