Job Description

Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Process Engineer specializing in water and
wastewater treatment systems. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in process
design, project management, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of water treatment
systems. This role involves leading projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance
with standards and delivering optimal outcomes for clients.

Key Responsibilities:
 Project Management
 Oversee the end-to-end execution of water and wastewater treatment projects,
including design, procurement, installation, commissioning, and turnover.
 Develop and manage project schedules, budgets, and resources to ensure timely and
cost-effective delivery.
 Conduct risk analysis and implement mitigation strategies to address potential
impacts on cost, schedule, and scope.
 Coordinate with suppliers, contractors, and internal teams for testing, inspections,
and calibrations.
 Process Design and Engineering
 Conduct water quality tests to inform concept design and system development.
 Design water and wastewater treatment systems, including, Ultrafiltration, Reverse
Osmosis, Deionization Systems, and Softeners.
 Design process flows, instrumentation, and layouts for water treatment systems.
 Perform process calculations, create Process Flow Diagrams (PFDs) and Piping &
Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs), and develop system layouts.

 Prepare detailed cost estimates, balancing system performance and cost-
effectiveness.

 Review and supervise revisions of technical documents, drawings, and specifications
to meet customer requirements.
 Operations and Maintenance (O&M)
 Act as the process owner for O&M projects, optimizing treatment processes and
ensuring compliance with industry standards.
 Facilitate troubleshooting to resolve operational issues to maintain system efficiency
and effectiveness.

 Facilitate regular conducting of equipment inspections, implement maintenance
plans, and recommend improvements for optimal performance.
 Client and Stakeholder Management
 Provide technical support and aftersales services, including troubleshooting, audits,
and system upgrades.
 Prepare and deliver program reports, conduct stakeholder meetings, and ensure
alignment on project milestones.
 Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, ensuring high levels of
satisfaction and repeat business.
 Proposal Development
 Develop and submit proposals for water treatment systems, including scope of work,
cost, estimates, and lead times.
 Collaborate with suppliers and company’s procurement and purchasing team to
obtain quotations and ensure accurate material and equipment specifications.
 Site Visits and Audits
 Conduct on-site visits and audits to evaluate the performance and condition of
existing water treatment systems.
 Provide actionable recommendations for system optimization, upgrades, and
improvements based on audit findings.
 Ensure systems are operating efficiently and in compliance with industry standards
and client requirements.
Qualifications & Preferences:
Bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering or a related field.
Licensed Chemical Engineer (preferred).
Minimum of 3 years of experience in water and wastewater treatment projects, including
design, project management, and O&M.
Strong knowledge of process design, cost estimation, and control system design
philosophy.
Excellent communication, leadership, and stakeholder management skills.
