Job Description

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in Occupational Safety, Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field. Professional certification as SO3
Minimum 1-2 years of relevant experience in a safety-related role. Familiarity with safety legislation and procedures.
Strong communication, training, and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency in MS Office and safety management software is a plus.

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
1. Monitor and ensure compliance with occupational safety and health laws, regulations, and company policies.
Create, implement, and maintain safety policies, procedures, and programs to promote a safe work environment.
Perform regular hazard and risk assessments across the workplace to identify potential safety issues and recommend preventive measures.
Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses, and prepare detailed reports with recommendations for corrective and preventive actions.
Organize and conduct safety training sessions, drills, and toolbox meetings for employees and
contractors.
Perform regular site inspections and internal audits to ensure safe work practices are being followed and safety equipment is functional.
Develop and implement emergency response plans and procedures; conduct regular drills to ensure preparedness.
Keep accurate records of safety inspections, incidents, training sessions, permits, and other safety documentation.
Monitor the proper use and availability of PPE, ensuring employees are equipped according to job requirements.
10. Work closely with all departments to promote a proactive safety culture and implement company- wide safety improvements.
