Job Description
and maintenance of guest rooms, bathrooms, and common areas within the resort. The role
involves carrying out routine housekeeping tasks, properly handling equipment and cleaning
materials, and maintaining a positive relationship with guests. Housekeeping staff are
expected to uphold resort cleanliness standards while respecting guest privacy and ensuring
their safety and satisfaction.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Clean and sanitize guest rooms, bathrooms, hallways, lobbies, stairwells, function
rooms, staff areas, and linen closets
• Remove dust, debris, and trash; replace trash bags and clean ashtrays
• Replace dirty linens and towels; deliver soiled items to the laundry section
• Refill water dispensers and replenish complimentary bottled water in each room
• Replenish room and bath supplies (toiletries, tissues, care kits, etc.) for multi-night stays
• Clean and disinfect bathroom fixtures, including mirrors, sinks, toilets, showers, walls,
and floors
• Provide laundry bags, hangers, extra pillows, and blankets as needed
• Check the availability and quality of room amenities prior to guest check-in
• Report and turn over any lost-and-found items to the Housekeeping Team Leader
• Ensure all guest rooms are properly locked and secured after cleaning
• Rearrange furniture according to the resort’s standard layout
• Provide turndown services upon guest request
• Deliver and retrieve guest-requested items (e.g., kettles, adapters, utensils)
• Respond promptly to guest calls and requests
• Update room status on the assignment sheet for vacant or occupied rooms
• Assist in guest check-in and check-out procedures when necessary
• Perform other duties as assigned by the immediate supervisor or management
PHYSICAL AND MENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
• Physically capable of standing, bending, lifting, and walking for extended periods
• Able to lift and carry linens, cleaning equipment, and guest amenities
• Good vision and manual dexterity for handling cleaning tools and supplies
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Attention to detail, particularly in cleaning and organizing guest areas
• Must be mentally alert, courteous, and able to maintain composure under pressure
• Willingness to work in shifts, including weekends and holidays
