Role Overview

Provide technical assistance to healthcare staff—clinicians, admin personnel, and other end users—for all IT systems: EHR, clinical software, lab devices, networks, and endpoints. Ensure systems run smoothly, comply with regulations, and support patient care and clinical workflows.

Core Responsibilities

Technical Support: Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network issues; respond to tickets/calls via phone, email, chat, or helpdesk systems

EHR & Clinical Systems: Install, configure, maintain, and support EHR systems, medical imaging, telehealth platforms, and lab/analyzer equipment


Security & Compliance: Enforce HIPAA, HITECH, and other healthcare regulations, ensuring data integrity, encryption, backups, and audit trails


Infrastructure Management: Maintain network infrastructure, servers, endpoints, workstations, and medical devices

Training & Documentation: Educate staff on systems, create user guides/FAQs, and document support processes and procedures

System Monitoring & Upgrades: Monitor uptime, performance, patching, and participate in system upgrades, migrations, testing, and QA


Vendor Coordination: Liaise with external vendors for escalated issues, contract management, and procurement support


Project Participation: Support IT projects—new implementations, workflow enhancements, audits, and strategic planning
