Job Description
The Accounting and Finance Manager is responsible to oversee the organization’s financial activities, liquidity, creating forecast and financial planning. Guide the finance department and have a broad view of an organization’s financial health.
Responsible to manage cash flows, develop accurate financial scenarios and implement policy to improve financial operations.
DUTIES and RESPONSIBILITIES
Providing strategic direction to the organization through strategy formulation, decision making, forecast/budgeting and its implementation/monitoring.
Reviews Finance and accounting policies & procedures are in accordance with statutory regulations and NEA standards and complying with risk management and internal controls.
Supervises finance manager to ensure proper implementation office operations in accordance to internal policy with established and approved policies and its implementing guidelines.
Prepares financial projections, executive reports and budgets in line with business plan and get these approved from Chief Management Officer.
Ensure cash flow is appropriate for the organization’s operations, monitors the overall funding status, disbursements, repayment and related reporting.
Approves periodic Financial Statements and monthly internal reports.
Ensuring maintaining effective relationship and co-ordination with BOD, stakeholders including related entities, government bodies, etc.
Assist in implementing performance management system to recognize and reward good performance and promote a culture of accountability and merit.
Act as Deputy Chief Management Officer to execute signatory of the office memo, communication letters, contracts on behalf of the authority.
Protects the confidentiality data and personal information of its data subjects.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, or any related field.
Preferably with advanced degree or professional certification (e.g., CPA, Master’s Degree)
At least 5 years of extensive experience in finance and accounting
In-depth knowledge of financial principles, practices, and regulations applicable to power industry
Proven experience in financial planning, analysis, budgeting, and reporting
Strong understanding of project costing, revenue recognition, and construction accounting methods (e.g., percentage of completion method)
Strong leadership and management skills, with the capacity to build and motivate a high-performing Finance team
