Job Description
Receiving and Inspecting Goods:
Warehousemen receive incoming shipments, verify their contents, and inspect for damage or discrepancies.
Storing and Organizing Inventory:
They properly store goods within the warehouse, ensuring they are accessible and organized, often using methods like FIFO (First In, First Out).
Order Fulfillment:
Warehousemen pick, pack, and prepare orders for shipment, ensuring accuracy and timely delivery.
Inventory Management:
They track inventory levels, conduct cycle counts, and reconcile inventory variances.
Warehouse Operations:
They load and unload trucks, operate warehouse equipment (like forklifts), and maintain a clean and safe workspace.
Documentation:
Warehousemen maintain records of incoming and outgoing products, including inventory levels and shipping information.
Other Duties:
Depending on the warehouse, additional tasks may include assisting with deliveries, training new employees, and ensuring adherence to safety protocols.
