A GDS (Global Distribution System) Travel Specialist job involves using GDS platforms like Amadeus, Sabre, or Galileo to assist customers with travel-related inquiries and bookings. Responsibilities include handling flight, hotel, and car rental reservations, providing customer support, troubleshooting issues, and resolving discrepancies.

Key Responsibilities:

GDS Platform Expertise:
Proficiently using GDS systems to search, book, and manage travel reservations.

Customer Service:
Providing excellent customer service, addressing inquiries, and resolving issues in a timely and professional manner.
Booking and Reservation:
Accurately booking and managing travel arrangements for customers, including flights, hotels, and car rentals.
Troubleshooting and Resolution:
Identifying and resolving technical issues or discrepancies related to bookings.
Knowledge of Travel Industry:
Staying updated on airline policies, fare structures, and travel restrictions.
Sales and Upselling:
Identifying opportunities to upsell or cross-sell additional travel products and services.
Communication:
Communicating effectively with customers and suppliers (airlines, hotels, etc.).
Training and Support:
Providing training and support to travel agents or corporate travel managers on using GDS tools.

QUALIFICATIONS:
HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE ( OLD CURRICULUM )
SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL GRADUATE
COLLEGE UNDER GRADUATE ( ANY COURSE )
COLLEGE GRADUATE ( ANY COURSE )
WITH 1-2 YEARS GDS EXPERIENCE ( SABRE )
Or 2 years Corporate Traveler
