Job Description
Operate trucks and other heavy vehicles to transport goods to assigned destinations.
Ensure proper loading and securing of cargo to prevent damage during transit.
Conduct pre-trip, en-route, and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure roadworthiness.
Follow assigned routes and schedules while maintaining delivery timelines.
Maintain accurate delivery logs, mileage records, and fuel usage reports.
Report any mechanical issues, accidents, or delays promptly to the dispatcher or supervisor.
Comply with all traffic laws, company policies, and Department of Transportation (DOT) regulations.
Assist with loading and unloading as required.
Keep the vehicle clean and in good condition.
Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid professional driver’s license (e.g., Non-Pro 123 or Professional 1, 2, 3 in the Philippines).
Proven experience as a truck driver; familiarity with long-haul or local delivery routes is an advantage.
Good driving record with no major traffic violations.
Physically fit and able to lift heavy items if needed.
Basic mechanical knowledge is a plus.
Strong sense of responsibility, punctuality, and customer service.
