Job Description

We are excited to announce an excellent opportunity for a dedicated Inpatient Coding Quality Assurance Specialist to join our dynamic healthcare team. This role is pivotal in maintaining the accuracy of information and upholding high-quality delivery within our clinical operations. As the Inpatient Coding Quality Assurance Specialist, you will be responsible for monitoring, auditing, and enhancing work processes to elevate our coding practices.

Responsibilities:
-Conducting thorough quality audits to ensure accuracy and compliance with coding standards.
-Collaborating with coding staff to review, document, and analyze work processes.
-Providing detailed feedback and recommendations to relevant departments based on audit results.
-Actively participating in the design, review, and enhancement of QA monitoring tools and guides.
-Creating comprehensive QA reports and presenting data to Quality Assurance leadership.
-Utilizing a quality monitoring data management system to track and document coding performances.
-Collaborating with Operations and Training teams to analyze performance feedback and resolve coding-related issues.

Minimum Job Requirements:
-Education or equivalency: Bachelor’s Degree in Medical Records or Allied Medical Field, or relevant clinical work experience.
-Experience: Requires a minimum of two years of acute care or ED/Clinic coding experience, involving live accounts with a client.
-At least 1 year of experience performing inpatient medical record coding
-At least 2 years of experience in coding quality review work
-Certification/licensure: Certification is dependent on client requirements.
