Description

A Customer Service Representative (CSR) in a call center is primarily responsible for handling customer inquiries and resolving issues, often through phone calls. They provide product/service information, answer questions, and assist with various customer needs. CSRs also manage customer accounts, process orders, and may handle returns or complaints.

Key Responsibilities:

Answering customer calls and emails: Responding to customer inquiries and providing information about products or services.

Problem-solving: Identifying and resolving customer issues, such as technical problems or billing discrepancies.

Managing customer accounts: Updating account information, processing orders, and handling returns or exchanges.

Providing product/service information: Explaining features, benefits, and pricing to customers.

De-escalating tense situations: Maintaining a positive and professional demeanor when dealing with difficult customers.

Escalating complex issues: Referring complex problems to the appropriate department or manager.

Recording customer interactions: Maintaining accurate records of customer interactions and resolutions.

Upselling and cross-selling: Offering additional products or services to customers when appropriate.

Meeting performance targets: Achieving specific goals related to call volume, resolution time, and customer satisfaction.

Participating in training: Staying up-to-date on product knowledge, company policies, and customer service techniques
