Qualifications:
Educational Attainment
- Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering, Transportation Engineering, or a related field required.
Work Experience
- Atleast 3 years of professional experience in traffic or transportation engineering.
Licensure & Certifications
- Professional Engineer (PE) license preferred (or ability to obtain within a specified timeframe).
- PTOE (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer) certification is a plus.
Technical Skills
- Proficiency with traffic engineering software such as Synchro, VISSIM, HCS, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D.
- Familiarity with traffic signal systems, roadway design, traffic impact studies, and modeling tools.
- Knowledge of engineering standards and guidelines including MUTCD, AASHTO, and FHWA regulations.
Soft Skills
- Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities.
- Effective verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team environment.
- Ability to interpret and apply engineering standards and regulations (e.g., MUTCD, AASHTO, FHWA guidelines).
