Job Description
The client is a Melbourne-based waterproofing business with a 40+ year presence in the industry. They’re seeking a part-time remote estimator or quantity surveyor to support contract evaluation, job measurement, and quote preparation. This role requires construction knowledge, the ability to work independently, and initiative in identifying suitable opportunities.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Use EstimateOne to search for and filter relevant construction tenders
Request project documents and communicate with builders as needed
Review drawings and specifications to determine scope and product requirements
Measure quantities (e.g. m²), estimate materials, and prepare accurate quotes
Summarize findings daily and highlight potential jobs
Understand waterproofing systems and application methods
Support the quoting process with well-documented estimates
KEY QUALIFICATIONS
Experience in estimating or quantity surveying (ideally in construction or waterproofing)
Ability to read construction drawings and specifications
Familiarity with EstimateOne (access provided)
Proficiency with Bluebeam or similar software (preferred)
Confident communicating with builders to request documents or clarify scope
Strong attention to detail, initiative, and ability to work independently
