Job Description
Our client, a leading provider of offshore software engineering and quality assurance services, is seeking a seasoned IT Division Manager to lead and grow their QA and development operations. This is a key leadership role responsible for driving strategic initiatives, managing project delivery across global teams, and ensuring service excellence for international clients—particularly in the Japanese market. The ideal candidate will bring strong technical expertise, proven team leadership, and a client-focused mindset to help scale high-quality software testing and development solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Business Strategy & Service Expansion
Define and implement growth strategies for software QA and development services.
Drive expansion into key areas such as test automation, DevOps, and AI-powered testing solutions.
Ensure services remain aligned with client needs and evolving global technology trends.
2. Operations & Project Oversight
Oversee multiple concurrent QA and software development projects.
Ensure timely delivery, adherence to quality standards, and efficient resource utilization.
Continuously improve delivery processes and team productivity.
3. Team Leadership & Development
Lead and mentor cross-functional teams of engineers and project managers.
Develop talent and nurture a high-performance culture across local and offshore teams.
Support team leaders in their development and foster a spirit of collaboration.
4. Client & Stakeholder Management
Maintain strong relationships with key clients, with a focus on Japanese and international accounts.
Ensure transparent communication, timely issue resolution, and high client satisfaction.
Collaborate closely with global headquarters and on-site client stakeholders.
Required Skills & Experience:
Technical & Management Proficiency
Strong practical experience in software testing, particularly in implementation support.
Proven success in managing teams of approximately 20 members.
Skilled in planning, delegation, problem-solving, and process improvement.
Leadership & Soft Skills
Capable of leading a team effectively while maintaining ownership and accountability.
Able to balance delegation with hands-on involvement where needed.
Willing to take responsibility on behalf of the team, including handling sensitive client communications.
Confident in coaching, evaluating performance fairly, and addressing issues constructively.
