Job Description
1. Arranges shipments, prepare and approve orders, manage pricing information and release invoices.
2. Sends documentation that coincides with shipments and importation and is responsible for maximizing space capacity and coordinating schedules with the warehouse.
3. Manages import and export office in such a way that all deadlines can be met.
4. Manages import and export processes in a cost effective and efficient way. They are responsible for reducing costs as well, and they negotiate freight rates.
5. Plan and implement import/export strategy and activities consistent with overall items and requirements staying cost effective to organization.
6. Ensure company’s compliance to all regulations regarding Imports and Exports. Must be up-to-date on regulatory changes and adapt appropriately.
7. Maintain high level of accuracy concerning customs procedures and avoiding penalties.
8. Interacts with customers, manage their personal staff and coordinate with other teams.
Manages the traffic department and traffic coordinators. They must spot export compliance risks and come up with risk assessment measures.
9. Build strategic, professional and ethical relationships with internal clients and external entities in the industry.
10. Monitor and assist with the daily running processes in the Import and Export section.
Education:
• College graduate with degree on bachelor's degree in business such as management, documentation and global business.
• At least two years of experience in import and export regulations
• Effectively communicate with salespeople, retailers and distributors to ensure that trading is carried out smoothly.
• Strong communication, telephone and organizational skills, and at least basic computer skills. Personable, professional people make excellent import/export coordinators.
